RM4L2020 International Conference on Smart Infrastructure Materials

20th-22nd September 2021, Churchill College, Cambridge, UK

The development of novel and smart infrastructure materials, inspired by the desire of reducing the maintenance costs and their significant environmental impact, is attracting the attention of researchers, academics, industrialists and policy makers across the world.

RM4L2020 is being organised under the auspices of the on-going EPSRC-funded Resilient Materials 4 Life (RM4L) project. The conference will take place 20th-22nd September 2021 in Cambridge and will bring a unique opportunity to discuss the latest exciting developments in novel and smart construction materials. The scope of the conference encompasses research, innovation, design and implementation. In particular, the conference will include a number of dedicated sessions on construction materials that have the ability to self-sense, self-immunise, self-heal, self-repair and self-adapt. During the conference there will be an industrial session on standardization of innovative materials (21st September 2021), followed by the conference dinner.

It is the aim of the conference to provide a forum for discussion, brainstorming, building new partnerships and collaborations, as well as for the dissemination of the latest research findings on these materials.

The conference is co-sponsored by RILEM, ICE, IOM3, the Concrete Society, The Institute of Concrete Technology, the Institution of Structural Engineers, and the American Concrete Institute, and it is recognized for CPD hours.

We look forward to welcoming you to Cambridge!
